Dear St. Agatha Catholic School Parents:
I would like to take this opportunity to formally welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year. The
St. Agatha Catholic School faculty and staff affirm our mission to “support our families in their role as primary educators of their child(ren) in a Christ-centered environment”. We enthusiastically anticipate collaborating with parents to facilitate our students’ spiritual, academic, physical and social growth. Together, we form an amazing school community which prepares “…..students for life-long learning, leadership, and service as contributing members of our community, church and country.”
I would like to especially welcome all our new teachers, families and students. We are thrilled to have you join our Catholic family. Together, we will learn from each other, as we journey closer to God each day by living the Gospel values! As Pope Francis states, “This is important: to get to know people, listen, and expand the circle of ideas. The world is crisscrossed by roads that come closer together and move apart, but the important thing is that they lead towards God”.
Secondly, I want to challenge all our families to pray the rosary this year. As we celebrate the 100th year of the apparition of our Lady of Fatima, all students in the Archdiocese of Miami schools are invited to join a campaign for 13 million rosaries for world peace. Please e-mail the Servants of Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary your pledge: email@example.com
Lastly, please view our new MIAMI PRIME menu posted on the SAS website! Our new food service provider offers a delicious menu and online service that we will all enjoy!
I look forward to seeing you and your children on the first day of school: August 22, 2016!
